Currently we raid 3-4 days a week, Mon-Thurs 8pm-12am server time. At least 3 days per week are required to maintain full time status.

We currently need:

• 1 Tank – Non-warrior perferred.
• 1/2 Healers – Paladin/Druid/Shaman perferred.
• 2/3 DPS – 1 melee, 2 ranged (Hunter/Mage/Warlock)

We provide all full-time raiders with:

• Guild bank repairs all the time, 300g per day.
• All raid consumables, including flasks and potions
• 90 stat feast before each pull

What we expect:

• Be on-time and prepared for every raid.
• Perform to the highest of your ability on every pull, we run WoL and like to see our members ranking.
• You are geared/gemmed/enchanted to the absolute best of what you have access to.  This means BoE’s, and all Valor point gear.  If you are not fully decked out in valor gear, and do not run your heroic daily every day; do not apply here.

After struggling with attendance and composition for weeks, we started out this week much the same way…two hours late on Tuesday due to a no show.  Despite that, we pushed through two new bosses this week and got ourselves to 9/12 leaving only the end bosses ahead.

Solipsis is a guild built around people.  Our goal is simple – clear all bosses (normal and heroic), before they become irrelevant.  Simple as that.  We are not seeking out realm firsts.  While progressing at a strong and steady rate is something we enjoy, it is not our purpose.  At this time we will be focusing on 10 man content, as the guild grows, if a transition into 25 man raiding makes sense, we will explore that option.

Unlike many other raiding guilds, we have an emphasis on people, and on fun.  Our raid atmosphere is strict, and we expect our players to be as good as they can be, but not to the extent to where the game feels like a job.  Our raid week is shorter than average, and our attendance requirements are set to accommodate those with obligations outside the game.

Most of our members and leadership have very long, very strong backgrounds in the raiding world.  Many have been in some of the best guilds in the world.  We plan to use that experience to not only know what we need to do to remain a competitive raid guild in meeting our goals, but also to know how not to treat people to make the game miserable.

We have ranks setup within the guild to accommodate the friends and family members for all our guild members.  So long as they can be in our guild without bringing any unnecessary drama our way, everyone is welcome.  All ranks are not eligible to raid, however.  Only those who have the skill, attendance, and drive to raid will be able to reap those rewards, and this status must be earned.  For the non-raiding members there will also be a small emphasis on PVP, though.  Many of our members are solely pvp oriented players, and we are fine with that.  Hopefully Cataclysm’s rated battlegrounds can make PVP a guild activity once again.

While I know I royally fucked up with Afterlife, I wanted to recognize that Afterlife did indeed exist.  I am not shying away from that fact, or trying to hide that fact from anyone.  Despite having been on three different servers since Afterlife fell, I am back on Stormrage, with the same character name – prepared for what that might have in store for me.

I expect to get trolled.  I expect the people who hated me before to still hate me.  I expect naysayers, and I expect to be made fun of.  However, I also expect the people who I was friends with, to make this decision worthwhile.  I hope we can recapture all the good things we had in Afterlife again, and minimize the bad things.

The reason I am back on Stormrage instead of raiding in a top world guild is simple – I missed my friends.  While I was gone I cleared all the heroic content in the game, as well as all of the content in beta, but I did it alone.  Spending the last 6 months in hardcore guilds taught me one thing: people are more important than progression.

Sitting in a guild where people don’t socialize, people troll each other constantly, and every single thing you do in and out of raids is scrutinized – made me yearn for what we once had.

To anyone who was a member of Afterlife, or has vested their trust in me to lead a guild once again for Cataclysm – I thank you.
